Understanding the body
Chris’s interest in movement began with a degree in Sport Science, specialising in biomechanics. Physiotherapy gave him a way to apply that knowledge directly to patient care.
About Miles Physio
What you want to get back to matters.
So does how you feel about getting there.
At Miles Physio, we combine specialist knowledge of how the body moves with time to listen, explain and build a plan together.

Chris is a Chartered Physiotherapist with a background in sports science and a master’s in biomechanics—the study of how the body moves.
Since qualifying as a physiotherapist in 2009, he has worked across NHS and private healthcare. His experience includes neurology, respiratory care and neurosurgery, before specialising in orthopaedics and musculoskeletal conditions affecting joints, muscles and movement.
He has a particular interest in helping people with persistent conditions such as osteoarthritis. His approach brings together clinical expertise and practical guidance, helping patients understand their condition and take an active part in managing it.
Chris’s interest in movement began with a degree in Sport Science, specialising in biomechanics. Physiotherapy gave him a way to apply that knowledge directly to patient care.
He went on to complete a master’s in biomechanics, developing his expertise in walking patterns and gait modification. His work has included publishing research in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at national conferences.
Alongside clinical practice, Chris has contributed to the development of Apos treatment methods and training for healthcare professionals in the UK and internationally.
That experience informs his work at Miles Physio, where the focus remains on the person in front of him: their symptoms, their questions and their goals.
A diagnosis can explain part of what you’re experiencing. It doesn’t tell us everything about how it affects your life.
We want to understand what has become difficult, what you’ve already tried and what a meaningful improvement would look like for you.
You’ll be involved in decisions about your treatment, with explanations you can understand and opportunities to ask questions. Together, we’ll develop an approach that takes your needs, preferences and everyday life into account.
Your priorities guide the conversation. We take time to understand your circumstances and shape your care around the things that matter to you.
We explain our thinking and give you practical guidance, helping you feel better equipped to make decisions and manage your condition.
Where needed, we coordinate with other healthcare professionals involved in your care, helping you access appropriate support.
Your concerns, preferences and choices deserve to be heard. We approach every conversation with dignity, compassion and respect.
Our aim is to help you understand your options and feel more confident about what comes next.
That means combining treatment with knowledge and practical tools you can use in everyday life, with support shaped around your progress.
Whether you’re exploring Apos treatment or looking for online physiotherapy, we’ll start by understanding what you need.
